OEMs can develop more user-friendly interfaces that increase satisfaction through customer-centered design. They should use their expertise to develop advanced functions such as parking and driver assistance systems instead of integrating third-party apps into the HMI. With powerful hardware and software-defined vehicle architectures, there are new opportunities for 3D infotainment systems that enhance the user experience.
High-performance computing and new vehicle architectures are opening up new possibilities for 3D infotainment systems that significantly improve the user experience.
At Car HMI USA, IAV is presenting the Android Automotive Demonstrator, which shows how simple and customized HMI solutions can be and how 3D effects can further improve the user experience. The vehicle interior is not only used for infotainment, but is also crucial for safety. This is why IAV is presenting the In-Cabin Monitoring System, which recognizes occupant features via camera and provides this information to the restraint system to reduce the severity of accidents. In the future, personalized protection for each vehicle occupant can be provided.
IAV is also presenting VoiceMind, an AI-supported, personalizable avatar that revolutionizes voice control in the vehicle. This avatar extends the functions of a conventional voice assistant and offers a wide range of use cases as well as intuitive, empathetic and lively interactions. A particular focus is on vehicle safety, which is improved by intelligent drowsiness detection and entertaining communication.
