IAV achieves TÜV Certification for
Cybersecurity

The accredited certification of our Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) by TÜV Rheinland was successful. With the increasing connectivity of vehicles with each other and their environment, the topic of automotive cybersecurity is gaining ever-increasing importance.

IAV has been technologically prepared for this topic for many years and has developed a comprehensive Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS). This system was successfully certified by TÜV Rheinland in November 2024 according to ISO/SAE 21434, in line with DAkkS quality standards (accreditation body).

"With the successful certification, we now also demonstrate our procedural capability to manage potential threats and offer solutions in the field of automotive cybersecurity. This certificate confirms the systematic management of cybersecurity risks and supports customers in consistently proving compliance within their supply chain," says Holger Kaiser, Head of Governance and Technical Compliance at IAV.

As a central entity of our IAV CSMS, the continuously operating Cybersecurity Operation Center (COC) has been established. An important task is the daily monitoring of the international threat landscape in the automotive sector, as well as the rapid and coordinated response to potential weaknesses or attacks.

Since the summer of 2024, IAV has also been a member of the AUTO-ISAC community, working together with international OEMs and suppliers to assess potential threats and coordinate countermeasures.
