Electrical and mechanical hardware development

Based on experience in the latest technologies and the application of specialised tools and methods, we effectively support customers and clients in the development of battery systems, power electronics, electric motors and electrified transmission systems.

High performance e-drive platform

Customer: OEM from Europe

  • Systems engineering: Implementation of systematic engineering methods for efficient e-drive development.
  • Requirements management: Ensuring all performance and efficiency requirements during development.
  • Integrated subsystem development: coordination of the subsystems - power electronics, e-motor, e-transmission - to create a compact overall e-drive unit with over 500 kW of power, outstanding power density, efficiency and NVH behaviour.
  • From the idea to the prototype: Accompanying the entire process from the concept phase to the development of a near-series prototype.
Actuator functions

Customer: OEM 

  • A-SPICE compliant control and regulation development: Carrying out the development of control and regulation functions for electric drives in accordance with A-SPICE standards.
  • Requirements elicitation and architecture creation: Systematic elicitation of requirements and creation of the functional architecture for effective implementations.
  • Implementation and commissioning: realisation and activation of functions both on test benches and in vehicles.
  • Application of the latest methods: Use of state-of-the-art technologies, from advanced control techniques to AI and big data, for function development and application.
Commercial vehicle e-transmission development

Customer: TIER1 (Germany)

  • Requirements management: Development of concepts based on customer requirements and KPIs.
  • Component design and optimisation: Use of digital prototypes to design and improve components.
  • Prototype production and vehicle testing: Production of physical prototypes for two sample phases, including initial vehicle testing.
Ageing tests on fuel cells 

Customer: OEM (Japan)

  • Construction of a single cell module on a test bench
  • Measurement and analysis of various ageing phenomena
  • Modelling, simulation and prediction of the ageing behaviour of a fuel cell system
Fuel cell range extender for a city bus 

Customer: OEM (Germany) 

  • Mechanical and functional integration of a fuel cell system, including the hydrogen refuelling system and the cooling system. Connection to the vehicle battery as well as to the electrical and electronic architecture of the city bus
  • Development of software and functions for controlling the fuel cell system and the H2 refuelling system
  • Ensuring functional safety in accordance with ISO standard 26262
  • Carrying out commissioning and acceptance of the entire system directly in the vehicle
